Upper or Lower Eyebag Removal
Excess wrinkling or fatty deposits around the eye area can occur at almost any age, and are often genetic in origin, rather than directly attributed to the effects of ageing.
The removal of wrinkled pouches below the eyes, together with the fatty tissue is achieved by making an incision very close to the lower lash line, extended slightly beyond the outer corner. The excess fat is then removed. Extremely fine sutures are used, resulting in virtually undetectable post-operative scarring.
'Hooding' or wrinkling of the upper lid is removed by making an incision in the natural crease line.
The operation can be performed under General or Local Anaesthetic with sedation. The patient would have a detailed consultation with the Surgeon to determine which would be more appropriate.
