SCAR REVISION

Unfortunately there is no method of completely eliminating a scar.

Some scars can however be improved, as in acne scars with laser surgery or by surgical revision. This involves cutting the scar and re-suturing the wound in a very careful and fastidious fashion, using tiny subcutaneous stitches, so that the appearance of the scar can be improved.

This procedure would normally be performed under local anaesthetic with or without sedation, depending on how extensive the scar was. It would be performed in our own Theatre.
