RHINOPLASTY (NOSE RESHAPING)

Nose reshaping to straighten, shorten, remove unsightly bumps, or otherwise alter the nose structure, is one of the most sought after, and ultimately satisfactory cosmetic surgery procedures available. It demands the most fastidious attention to detail and creative talent of the Surgeon.

Since in almost all cases, the reshaping is carried out from the inside of the nostrils, there is no outward scarring or visible evidence of surgery, except greatly improved appearance. The removal, or realignment of a few millimetres can make a very great difference to facial proportions.

Careful discussion with our Surgeon is most important to determine the final shape. Taking into account your objectives, he will suggest, perhaps, modifications or minor improvements in both the bridge and the area in the tip of the nose, taking other facial features and characteristics into account to ensure overall harmony.

The discomfort or inconvenience is very slight when compared to the enormous benefits.
Some bruising or swelling can be expected initially, but most patients should expect to return to work 10-14 days. If a nasal splint is used this is removed 7 days post-op.

This procedure is normally performed under general anaesthesia and requires a one night stay in hospital.

When it is a question of only altering the soft tissue it is possible to use a permanent filler such as Aquamid, please see the separate section.

When you visit us we will be able to show you before and after photographs of patients who have had their noses remodelled.
