ADVANCED LASER LIPOLYSIS

This technique is now the gold standard for fat removal.

The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic has always been a pioneer in fat removal.
The surgeon is Dr Alan Kingdon who attended the first Liposuction Workshop in the World in 1984. He has an enormous experience in Liposculpture in which localised fat deposits are removed under local anaesthesia with sedation. This is dealt with in more detail in a separate section.

We did not use “Smart Lipo” because we did not believe it to be effective. The Laser did break down the fat but the subsequent reabsorbtion of the fat by the body was slow and unpredictable. It also attracted many inexperienced and inadequately trained practitioners so now has a bad reputation. However the combination of Liposculpture skills with Laser technology has provided an effective treatment which is called ADVANCED LASER LIPOLYSIS. The technique is performed under local anaesthetic only. No sedation or general anaesthesia.

Tiny incisions are made through which the laser is introduced. This is used to break down the fat which can then be easily removed by aspiration as an emulsion. The Laser is then re-introduced to break down any residual small amounts of fat and to stimulate skin contraction . This means that we can achieve smoother results with good skin tone and no looseness of the skin.

It is not a treatment for fat people and does not result in loss of weight but it does permanently get rid of persistent localised areas of body fat safely and efficiently.
