Sclerotherapy Treatment
Thread veins are broken red veins just below the skin which occur either on the face or legs.
We use Sclerotherapy injections or Intense Pulsed Light treatment. A combination of these treatments can also be effective.
Prior to treatment, a local anaesthetic cream is applied and the procedure is easily tolerated. You may need up to 3 treatments and we will advice you.
For several weeks following treatment the veins look worse before they get better. The vessels then shrink and disappear.
The "ELLIPSE" Intense Pulsed Light system is suitable for Thread Veins that occur on the face and any finer veins that cannot be treated with Scelrotherapy.
