Dermal Fillers

Injectable fillers are used to enhance your appearance, soften skin and decrease the visible signs of aging and damage caused by exposure to the sun. They can create fuller natural looking lips, soften deep and fine facial lines or wrinkles around the eye, improve contours and some are specifically designed to hydrate dry skin.

There is an excellent range of Injectable fillers available such as Juvederm and Restylane. We have found that the newer products are more effective and last longer, we use a range of products made by Allergan and are FDA approved. The choice of product is made after a detailed consultation and examination by the Doctor. The treatment involves numbing the area with a localised numbing cream. The filler we use contains local anaesthetic, this will minimise the discomfort. The dermal filler is injected under the skin and the treatment itself takes about 30 minutes.

The results of the treatment can be seen immediately and the results typically last for 6-9 months. Immediately after the treatment you may have some redness and swelling. This usually subsides within 24-48 hours.

Dermal Fillers work well alone or together with BOTOX to prevent the early signs of facial ageing and providing a youthful and natural appearance. As an alternative to Surgery, these injections are one of the least invasive and time-heavy treatments available to buy in the UK.
