What surgery and treatments do you perform?
We offer the complete range of cosmetic surgery and treatments for both women and men. This means we are able to recommend the least-invasive treatment to achieve the desired result.

Are your team members fully qualified?
Our surgical team is led by Dr Alan Kingdon MRCS Eng LRCP Lond 1967, MB BS 1968 London, who has more than 30 years of experience as a cosmetic surgeon. The surgical team is supported by three senior Registered Nurses who have experience in dermatology, cosmetic and plastic surgery. All treatments are undertaken by fully qualified specialists, whose qualifications will be detailed during your consultation.

How do I know your clinic is legitimate?

The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic is governed by The Healthcare Commission, the independent inspection body set up by the UK government for both the National Health Service (NHS) and independent healthcare in the UK. Our registration number is P050002189. We would be delighted to provide you with a full copy of The Healthcare Commission's latest report, or you may request one directly from the Commission itself.

Will I get to meet the surgeon who will perform the treatment?
Absolutely! This is the key part of our YOU first philosophy. You will see the same surgeon from the time of your free, no-obligation consultation. That surgeon will not only work with you to understand what results you want to achieve, but will then perform the procedures and oversee your complete recovery. After your treatment, you will even have the surgeon’s mobile phone number, to discuss any post-operative concerns you might have.

Where do treatments and operations take place?
Our advanced theatre facility in Harley Street allows us to perform a wide range of cosmetic surgery procedures. We also use the services of approved hospitals to ensure you have access to the latest skills and technology for every treatment. As for non-surgical procedures, these generally take place at our clinics in Harley Street, London and in Jersey.

What about anaesthesia?
Most cosmetic surgery procedures are performed under local anaesthesia, with sedation. This is a considerable advantage for you in terms of both convenience
and safety.

What sort of care will I get?
You, your health and your safety are our absolute priority. Which is why at every stage our ethos is to provide you with personal, impartial guidance and the highest standards of care. We do not ‘sell’ procedures, and your initial, no-obligation consultation will be with a surgeon. The same surgeon will advise you, operate on you and be available to provide post-operative care and support.

May I see ‘before and after’ photographs?
Yes. Once your surgeon has established what the least-invasive technique is to provide you with the desired results, we will show you our extensive collection of ‘before and after’ photos related to the procedure we recommend for you.

May I talk to someone that has had the same procedure?
Yes. It is essential that you are perfectly comfortable about undergoing any procedure we might recommend. So, if you’d like us to, we will arrange for you to have a one-to-one conversation with a former patient who has undergone the same procedure. In addition, we have a large file of testimonials that you are free to browse; we can also highlight testimonials relevant to any procedure you are interested in.

How soon can I have my operation after the consultation?
There are no ‘waiting lists’. But as part of our YOU first philosophy we strongly recommend that you give yourself at least a two-week period of reflection between the consultation and operation.

What happens after surgery?
We always call you the day after surgery. Then, throughout the period of your recovery, you will have access to us 24/7. You will be given two mobile phone numbers: one for your surgeon and one for the post-operative care team. For residents of Jersey, we have a full-time nurse, based on the island, who makes home visits. We also provide a monthly clinic in St Helier, Jersey.

How long will I need off work?
This will depend on the type of surgery and on your level of fitness. It can be anything from a few days to a couple of weeks. Throughout the period of your recovery, you will have access to us 24/7. You will be given two mobile phone numbers: one for your surgeon and one for the post-operative care team.

Can I fly after surgery?
Generally, yes. It depends on your personal circumstances and you will be advised by your surgeon. There is a popular myth that flying can cause breast implants to burst; this is not true.

What ‘extras’ will I have to pay for?
There are absolutely no hidden costs. The price you are quoted covers everything, including surgeons’ and anaesthetists’ fees, plus hospital and theatre costs. The price quoted also includes all necessary drugs, dressings, garments, blood tests and follow-up appointments, if necessary.

Do you provide finance?
We take all forms of payment, including all major credit cards. We can also recommend a reputable finance company.
