It is shocking to learn that the popularity of Plastic Surgery is looming skyward!
With more than 2 million surgeries being carried out every year only in the United States and lesser yet significant numbers in other developing countries worldwide, it is wrong to assume that plastic surgery is for the rich and famous. Even the average man is able to afford it these days, owing to its popularity and accessibility. Formerly used to correct defects on the body caused by mishaps like accidents or fire, this procedure is now being used by actors and other celebrities to correct minor defects in their bodies, for erasing age lines and looking better.

Initially only women used to undergo Plastic Surgery but now, even men are beginning to welcome the benefits that it brings. The ultimate aim in getting this kind of procedure is for an appealing look, a beautiful face and a lissome body. The treatments that are gaining increasing popularity are Liposuction, Breast Enhancement and Abdominoplasty surgery.
Liposuction is the process in which suction of the fat from particular regions of the body is removed to provide a slim and graceful figure. Amongst Liposuction, the most popular is the tumescent Liposuction in which a saline solution, anesthesia and a blood vessels tightening drug are impregnated into specific areas where the fat is to be removed. After a while the mixture is emptied out of the body along with the body fat in that region using cannulas, hollow instruments made of metal. This procedure removes fat but retains fluid in the body for a short while.
Another famous surgery is the Breast Augmentation, which is favored by around 300,000 women in America alone. This can be done to increase the size of the breast or even make the unsymmetrical breasts even. The once-banned silicone implants play an important role in the process. It can be used to treat sagging skin in regions like the tummy, eyelids or breasts. Blepharoplasty is the name given to eyelid-reshaping procedure. This is mainly used to treat vision impairment due to sagging eyelids or to reduce puffiness due to aging.
